Product developer, end to end

I led the full product lifecycle: the UI/UX, the architecture of the multi-role admin panel, the on-site POS, the AI assistant for attendees, and the two mobile apps. The team was spread across Qatar, Turkey and Lebanon, and I mentored the interns and junior developers along the way.

Three people in the loop

  • The attendee

    Opens iEvents, browses catering, hospitality, event setup, flowers and chocolate, finds vendors nearby on the map, books and pays, tracks the order, asks the assistant when stuck.

  • The vendor

    Opens iEvents Vendor, lists services and add-ons, accepts bookings in real time, runs campaigns, ads and coupons, sells on site through the POS, reads the reports.

  • The organizer

    Works in the admin panel: approves vendors, manages categories and content, publishes announcements, watches orders and payouts across the platform.

What it does

    Discover and book

    Vendors grouped by category, search, favourites, reviews and ratings, cart and checkout with coupons, and order tracking from accepted to delivered.

    Map and nearby

    Google Maps with custom markers, a pick-your-location flow and a find-nearby view that lists shops around the attendee.

  3. 03

    Wallet, loyalty, referrals

    An in-app wallet, loyalty points and a refer-and-earn programme to keep attendees coming back between events.

  4. 04

    AI assistant

    A conversation screen inside the attendee app, backed by the platform API, that answers questions about services and helps people find what they need.

    Chat and notifications

    Attendee-to-vendor chat, Firebase push with local notifications, and announcements that vendors publish to their customers.

    Vendor operations

    Service management with add-ons, order acceptance in real time, campaigns, advertisements, coupons, subscriptions and disbursement requests.

    A point-of-sale screen in the vendor app for walk-up sales at the event, with Bluetooth thermal receipt printing.

    One back office for organizers and vendors: vendor approval, categories, content, announcements, orders and payouts.

How it was built

  1. Two Flutter apps, one pattern

    Both apps use GetX with a feature-first layout: every feature has its own controllers, domain models, repositories and screens. The attendee app has more than thirty features, from auth and onboarding to wallet, loyalty and chat.

  2. Shared API

    A REST API behind both apps and the admin panel, with an ApiClient wrapper that handles tokens, headers and retries. The AI assistant has its own conversation, message and response endpoints.

  3. Firebase

    Firebase Auth with Google, Facebook and Sign in with Apple, Firebase Cloud Messaging for push, and local notifications with a sound on new vendor orders.

  4. Maps and location

    Google Maps on mobile and web, Geolocator for position, custom markers and info windows for vendors.

  5. POS and printing

    A cart model and POS service in the vendor app, with ESC/POS commands sent to Bluetooth thermal printers for receipts.

  6. Web builds too

    Both apps build for the web as well, with a URL strategy, SEO meta and a landing page that points to the stores.
